How did he do this? Sort of embarrassing. He was coming home from working out in the gym at the clubhouse and didn't notice the step down from the walkway to the road and went right down on his face and right shoulder. People came running, helped him up and into the clubhouse where they determined he didn't appear to have a head injury but was just banged up good from his fall. Someone called me and I drove back to the clubhouse to pick up Fred since he couldn't drive. (I walk to the clubhouse and back home and had already returned home before Fred was ready to leave.)

My Monthly Post
This is what you see when you enter their new home. It is a split level. You are looking downstairs. It really is quite a nice rental.
I just have to add this wonderful news that came last Monday, Oct. 12. Cheryl's doctor appointment at the Huntsman Center went very well. Her leg is continuing to heal well and she was told she can start exercising. Also all her scans came back negative so she is all clear for another three months and halfway through the most dangerous period for the cancer returning. Yeah! Another milestone reached.Fred and I had reserved a two bedroom condo in Palm Springs for a few days the first part of October. Since Tanya and Christian were on fall break we invited them to go with us. Maria and her family came over on Saturday while we were there (only a little over an hour drive for them) for a visit. It was fun going swimming, playing games and just spending a few hours together. (No, we are not all wearing the same swimsuit but it sure looks like it in this picture.)
Now that things have settled down somewhat after a very busy summer, it is time to get back to my weight loss routine. During the first part of 2009, I lost 50 pounds. Now I want to get down to more or less an ideal weight. So exercise machines, here I come! Good-by, evening snacks--that is my downfall.
This week I spent a day helping Tanya with a quilting project she is doing as well as some yard work. Then I spent another day helping Cindy with some organizing of food storage and some other projects around her home. Never a dull moment and that is the way I like it! I do enjoy working with and helping my girls.
