Over the last few weeks my goal has been to learn my upgraded programs of Premier Pro (video editing) and Photoshop. For those of you in the know, CS5.5 is wonderful and once I become more adept at using them, my work will look more professional. I have been using and learning video editing for a number of years and recently have been teaching myself Photoshop. I still have a long ways to go with Photoshop but feel a lot more confident with it. For example look at these before and after pictures.
Of course it helps to have two beautiful granddaughters. I took the pictures in front of a full length mirror which meant there was all kinds of reflecting "stuff" I didn't want in the pictures. I also worked on skin tones, and fly-away hair, even a hair or two that was in the eye. I wanted the skin tone to be different in the mirror as an artistic touch because the mirror reflection is just that a reflection of the real girl who is standing in front of it, hence the image in the mirror is dull as compared with the glowing girl in front. I'm learning a lot about photography in all its aspects. It has been a fun growing experience.
