We have a Texas Mountain Laurel planted outside the bay window in our bedroom. We have been able to sit in our chairs that are in the window and watch this hummingbird build a nest. If you look carefully you can see her long beak and an eye. We hope she continues to set up housekeeping, lays eggs and raises her young. The nest is only about six feet from where we sit. The first part of January we made a trip to California to help Maria for a few days while she was down with her back. It is good to be free enough to make those quick trips to help our children. While there we went to one of Sierra's waterpolo games. It was fun to watch her play.
