Moments with Fred

My Birthday Tribute to Fred, my husband, of nearly 45 years. This is Fred on his first birthday. Don't you love those curls! I'm grateful for Fred's curly hair for two reasons. First, because I had some cute little girls and now granddaughters with curly hair. Second, because I think waves in white hair on a man is really striking. Thanks, Fred, for your curls.
Fred has been a wonderful husband and companion; we have so much in common yet our differences complement each other, Thanks, Fred, for loving me and being the man you are.

When we were first married and living in Bowie, Arizona, one of the things we loved to do was to go hiking in the Chiricahau Mountains. Thank you, Fred, for loving the out-of-doors as much as I did. We've had some fantastic hikes over the years but some of the most beautiful have to have been in the Chiricahaus.
Another thing I'm grateful for is the many trips all over the world we have been able to take together. Thank you, Fred, not only for our travels around the United States but also for the experiences we have had visiting other lands and cultures. We were in Guatamala when this picture was taken.
Five children call him, Dad. Thanks, Fred, for giving me our children and thanks for being such a great father.

And now that we are in our "twilight" years, how grateful I am to have Fred by my side. I'll love you forever and always, Fred. Happy 73rd Birthday!

Mom, that was so sweet all the things you said about Dad! I will agree that I have the best Dad. He is caring, funny, giving, and always there.
