Faithful Mother

Our little hummingbird continues to sit faithfully and patiently on her nest just outside our bedroom window. We pull up the blind each day and watch her. When she does leave the nest to get something to eat she covers the eggs with soft downey feathers to keep them warm. If we go outside and get near her tree she gets upset and starts to screech at us. For being so little, she sure is a fisty little bird. She has been sitting on her eggs for almost three weeks now. They should be hatching soon. Maybe they'll be born on my birthday!
